It is good that someone is speaking the truth about the right to live where you want in your own country.

Obama Called 'Racist' in Jerusalem Rally

Arutz Sheva
by Hillel Fendel
July 28, 2009

An estimated 1,500 people crowded a Jerusalem square on Monday evening, holding the first of what is likely to become a series of anti-Obama rallies and protests against unrelenting American pressure upon the Israeli government....

...Among the speakers were rabbis, Knesset Members, and other public officials. First to address the crowd was Rabbi Eliezer Waldman, Dean of Yeshivat Nir Kiryat Arba and a former Knesset Member. Acknowledging that Obama promised to bring “change,” and that President Shimon Peres has long spoken of a “New Middle East,” the rabbi said, “Yes, there is a new Middle East – G-d Almighty has taken His people out of exile and brought them back home to its land!  He has brought them to independence, to settlement, to life in its land that has now come to life once again! This is the ‘change’!  And woe unto those who would interfere in this process of change!”

Addressing U.S. President Barack Obama directly, Rabbi Waldman said, “You are a racist! How dare you tell Jews that they can’t live in this place or in that location? We’re finished with such periods in our history!”

Expressing opposition to the blatant American intervention in Israeli policies, the many home-made signs at the protest declared messages such as: The Land of the Bible belongs to the People of the Bible Obama: No You Can’t! Yes We Can Build Settlements Warning: American Jews are in Danger Obama, deal with Iran – Israel belongs to the Jews Jordan is Palestine Israel Won’t Fold Let My People Grow

Chanan Ben-Ari, 21, told the crowd, “Good evening to you, heroes of the Land of Israel… and good evening to you, as well, Mr. Prime Minister. I have just completed my army service, and I was married eight months ago, and to our great sorrow – we are unable to find a caravan in which to live in the very town in which I grew up, Karnei Shomron!  And it’s not just me – an estimated 1,400 young couples are estimated to be leaving Yesha every year because there are no homes to be had!  Not only in Karnei Shomron, but also in Ariel, and in Beit El, and in Kedumim, and Ofrah – this is the quiet expulsion that is going on!  And it’s certainly not that I don’t have the right connections, as my father Herzl is the mayor of Karnei Shomron, and my uncle Michael is a talented Knesset Member, but the simple truth is that there are no homes to be had! I call on you to rebuff the American pressure and allow Jewish families to build once again.”

Gershon Mesika, Chairman of the Shomron Regional Council, said, “The dispute here is not only over settlements or outposts – but over the whole country! The Arabs don’t want us anywhere in this land; they want us only in the ocean! … Mr. Obama: Remove your hands from the Land of Israel! You must understand this simple truth: The Land of Israel belongs to the Nation of Israel according to the Torah of Israel.”

“The fact that America treats the State of Israel as a banana republic, and the American willingness to abandon us in exchange for Islamic PR approval around the world, brings us here.”

**********************************

Finally some people in Israel (and hopefully this country) are starting to see the bigger picture. Barak Hussein Obama is neither a lover of  Israel (He went to a muslim school in Jakarta. Does anyone think the school taught tolerance to all religions?) nor of America and Israeli relations. I wish people had seen it in this country before they went to the polls.

Finally seeing some backbone...Pres. Obama! But Out!!

Olmert to Obama: Get Off Israel’s Case
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu Olmert: Obama Making Big Mistake

U.S. President Barack Obama is making a big mistake by insisting that Israel freeze all building for Jews in Judea and Samaria, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert wrote Friday in the Washington Post, considered one of the most influential American newspapers.

In his opinion article, which in effect was an open letter to the president, Olmert reminded the American government that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and that its friendship with the United States is one of the country’s “greatest strategic asserts.”

The former Prime Minister wrote that the Annapolis, Maryland Middle East conference in the Middle East in November, 2007 was based on previous agreements with the Bush administration that Jewish population centers in Judea and Samaria would remain part of the State of Israel in any agreement establishing a Palestinian Authority state.

“During the run-up to Annapolis and in meetings there, I elaborated to the U.S. administration and the Palestinian leadership that Israel would continue to build in the settlements in accordance with the above criteria," Olmert wrote. "Let me be clear: Without those understandings, the Annapolis process would not have taken on any form. Therefore, the focus on settlement construction now is not useful.

“The issue of settlement construction commands the agenda between the United States and Israel. This is a mistake that serves neither the process with the Palestinians nor relations between Israel and the Arab world. Moreover, it has the potential to greatly shake U.S.-Israeli relations.”

Olmert noted that a total building freeze is “impossible to completely enforce” and would not help security for Arabs or Jews.

“Only a political process that demands courageous decisions from leaders on both sides will bring a solution to the issue of settlements,” he added.

Referring to his own offers for a new PA state, he declared that the U.S. should investigate “why the Palestinian leadership did not accept the far-reaching and unprecedented proposal I offered them. My proposal included a solution to all outstanding issues: territorial compromise, security arrangements, Jerusalem and refugees. It would be worth exploring the reasons that the Palestinians rejected my offer and preferred, instead, to drag their feet, avoiding real decisions.”

Would Israel Suggest that America be divided?

On Israel and the Democratic Party Platform

excerpt:

The 2008 Democratic Party platform, "Renewing America's Promise," is available at the Democratic National Committee's website. This is the platform that won us a big margin in the House, very nearly a filibuster-proof Senate, and helped put Obama in the White House.

It is in the best interests of all parties, including the United States, that we take an active role to help secure a lasting settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with a democratic, viable Palestinian state dedicated to living in peace and security side by side with the Jewish State of Israel.

An explicit call for the two-state solution. I thought that was worth highlighting.

My note:  What if the proposal were made by Israel that America should be divided and half go to native born and the other half  go to illegal immigrants?

Reported: 07:48 AM - Jun/25/09
if (sLinkData != "") document.write("Edit");

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke Wednesday evening before Jewish organizations in Paris. “Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, will remain united under Israeli sovereignty forever,” the Prime Minister said. “No one in the world will defend the Jews if the Jews won’t defend themselves.”

Netanyahu furthermore stated that there will be no peace agreement if the Arab countries will not recognize Israel’s rights. “Whoever wants peace will recognize the right of Israel and not make further demands,” the Prime Minister stated.
